Our logo tells the story with all the charm and excitement you’d expect from a true Minnesota legend! Meet Paul Bunyan and his "babe"—but not Babe the Blue Ox. The idea behind our business began with Laura, who was searching for "her own Paul Bunyan" and realized there was a need for more meaningful connection options in the Twin Cities.
The inspiration behind our business came from Laura, who was on a quest to find "her own Paul Bunyan." Tired of the endless cycle of online dating and membership-based singles communities, she wanted something different—something simple and straightforward. Laura & Britleigh realized there was a need for a more authentic way to connect, one that didn’t require long-term commitments or endless scrolling. That’s when Stassi Dates was born—a way to meet people with just a one-day ticket commitment and without the pressure of membership fees or complex profiles.
Though our logo features a traditional male lumberjack and his female love interest, we know that love goes beyond these classic representations. While we honor this imagery, we are committed to celebrating equality for all genders, races, identities, and orientations. At Stassi Dates, we embrace love in all its forms, and we work to create a space where everyone—regardless of race, gender, or who they love—feels welcomed, valued, and respected in their search for connection.

Britleigh and Laura, seasoned entrepreneurs entrenched in the event industry, crossed paths while collaborating on an event. It was during this collaboration that they discovered a shared passion: bringing people together in meaningful, offline interactions.
Britleigh, a photographer and podcast host of Excelsior!, has built her career around storytelling and creating experiences that inspire connection. From her vibrant photography sessions to her lively podcast events, Britleigh is passionate about crafting spaces where people can connect, share, and celebrate life together. Laura, a dedicated realtor who thrives on helping people find their dream homes, was inspired by her own journey to find love outside of dating apps. Recognizing the importance of authentic, face-to-face connections, she wanted to create opportunities for singles to meet in a way that felt natural and genuine. United by their vision, Britleigh and Laura launched "Stassi" to revolutionize the dating scene in the Twin Cities.
